Educational and Child Psychologist

Dr Marilyn Muscat has trained as an Educational and Child Psychologist in London. She is registered as an Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council in the United Kingdom and with the Malta Psychology Profession Board. Marilyn holds a Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Personal and Social Development, leading her to become a qualified teacher. She moved to London in 2014 where she started reading for a Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology. She has now been practising as a Psychologist in Malta since 2017.

Marilyn has worked in different settings, including primary, secondary and post-secondary schools. Previously, she also held roles in a drug rehabilitation centre and as a trainer, delivering lectures and workshops. More recently, Marilyn also specialised in carrying out assessments with adults,assessing challenges related to neurodiversity, such as Autism and ADHD. Marilyn’s work involves assessments, psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions.
Besides being a practitioner, Marilyn also works in Academia, lecturing students following Degree and Masters courses, supervising students for their dissertations and being on examination boards. Her personal research interest is related to neurodiversity.
